Exotic Animals

Exotic Animals

The identification of exotic animals is often quite confusing for society in general, there is a belief that they are strange, unusual or endangered animals, but this definition in veterinary medicine goes much further. In general, exotic animals usually have their place of origin in the tropics, although this is not always the case.

When we talk about exotic animals, we find small mammals: guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, squirrels, meerkats, etc.; birds of all sizes: macaws, canaries, parrots, goldfinches, parakeets, etc.; reptiles: tortoises, iguanas, snakes, etc. and even amphibians such as frogs.
